Julie Asquith Collection produce beautiful handmade items in the Lake District including scarfs, snoods, cowls and knitmitts. Julie’s products are lovingly made with inspirations from the colours of the many birds in her garden.

THE BRIEF

Julie had built up a small following on social media, which led to some private enquiries and referrals to the Etsy shop. However, the audience expected the ability to buy the products through an official website shop.

It was essential for the website homepage to be engaging, visually appealing, with featured products listings, payment gateway and clear calls to action. The simple user experience and checkout process, made it easy for new and returning customers to navigate. Regular customers can also register for an account and save discount codes.

THE APPROACH

One of the key elements of this website was to achieve B2C and B2B objectives. As well as an ecommerce store for customers, there was a requirement to have wholesale trade accounts setup. This enables wholesalers and stockists to login to the site and shop at trade prices, with access to resources, and manage orders or downloads.

As an ecommerce website with product listings, it was essential to sync the products to Meta so that they can be tagged by the brand and by influencers on Facebook and Instagram. This also helped with generating product views with direct links to the website to start checkout.

THE RESULT

The website has increased profits for the business by around 15% following the direct of traffic to the new site and away from commission paying websites like Etsy. Since launching the website, there has been organic growth across their social media channels with direct traffic to the product category pages from tagged product posts.
